I am late in learning about Darrell's passing and I want to share this with you all.  I was strolling downtown one day in 2011 in Blue Ridge, GA where I have a cabin and in a store turned around  to see Darrell and immediately recognized him, even with a full beard.  He was jovial and we talked for some time to catchup.  Later in 2014 I ran into him again, in Blue Ridge, same scenario.  We again spoke a while, with his wife there.  I think she worked for Delta Airlines. They had a house on a ridge on Talona Mt, in Ellijay, GA.  He never said anything about being sick.  But I sensed it. I am so sorry to lose him.  He was a good friend in high school.  I wish his family well.
